When you’re 17 years old and apply for a job, no one asks for your diploma. When you’re 19, everyone will. You need a diploma to get a good job or to go on to higher education for even better jobs. You need to graduate to get that diploma. And you need to have a certain number of credits to do that. Every student at RCB will have a graduation plan and should understand, after meeting with our guidance counselor, how far he or she has already come toward graduation and how much is still needed.· It is not enough to have a certain number of credits: you have to have the right credits in the right courses. Requirements for graduation have been changed in recent years by the Arizona Board of Education, and these are as follows Arizona Board of Education High School Graduation Requirements Class of 2009, 2010 & 2011 English 4 credits Math 2 credits Science 2 credits Social Studies 2.5 credits Voc(Medical)/Fine Arts 1 credit Electives 8.5 credits Total 20 Credits Class of 2012 English 4 credits Math 3 credits Science 2 credits Social Studies 3 credits Voc(Medical)/Fine Arts 1 credit Electives 7 credits Total 20 Credits Class of 2013 English 4 credits Math 4 credits Science 3 credits Social Studies 3 credits Voc(Medical)/Fine Arts 1 credit Electives 7 credits Total 22 Credits |
